This morning Kara Eckert and Bryan O’Black from the Shaler Area School District presented about the IKS Titan and how it has been changing the culture of learning in their district. They discussed the whole process, dating back to two years ago when Kara met me at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit to today, where the IKS Titan has triggered a snowball effect of innovation and exciting projects throughout the district. It wasn’t all smooth sailing… the district took a risk to become the world’s first Dream Flight Adventures simulator, but now it has really paid off. As they quoted Jimmy Johnson in their presentation, “Do you want to be safe and good, or do you want to take a chance and be great?”
